Back in the saddle...

So I'm acting like a giddy school girl.
I don't know why... this isn't my first rodeo.
I have been asked for my number before.... and they have led to a date...

I guess it was the approach that was different.
Since I was thrown back into the dating world, I thought that the only place I would meet guys was online.
I mean, I teach with nothing but women. I go to a church where there aren't a lot of single guys my age. I don't think picking up a guy at a bar is a healthy choice.

Yet, for whatever reason, this past week I decided I was done with online dating (at least for now.) I was tired of being pursued by guys I wasn't interested in and being ignored by the ones I was interested in.

Also... there is just a little bit of old fashion in me that likes the guy to do the initiating... and that wasn't happening!!!

So, I threw it up to the big man upstairs... I just didn't know he would respond so quickly!

At my boys' ballgame last night, I got asked if I could be asked out. (how sweet is that?)
He told me he that he had been planning on introducing himself for a while... and that he liked my smile.
Then he asked for my number... and he actually called!!!

Don't worry. I'm not putting all of my eggs into one basket! ...I have learned so much about dating the past 2 years.
It's just nice to have a glimmer of hope.
