No one tells you that when you begin a friendship that you will take on the other person's joys and sorrows.
No one tells you that you will long to see those people and find joy in spending an hour for dinner once a month with them. That a one time "Girls' Night Out" would continue on for 10 years.
No one tells you that you can catch up more in that hour's time then you would think was humanly possible.
No one tells you that you will rely on that GNO to sort out all of the things in your personal life that you couldn't tell just anyone.
No one tell you that you will take some of those secrets to the grave.
No one tells you that when one of your group dies, you can't see the others without missing the one that is gone... and your focus is on that missing piece.
No one tells you that your GNO will slowly stop happening.
No one tells you that you will use the excuse that it is because everyone is busy... except everyone has always been busy... and you still found the time.
No one tells you that the death of a friend could make you miss your other friends that much more.
